Crystal Pistols are handcrafted replicas of popular historical and contemporary firearms.
Each is a full-size reproduction of the original and faithful to the original design.
The pistols are carved in clay using a simulator as the model. From the clay sculpture, a
mold is made having a special lining. Pure Egyptian lead crystal is poured into the mold
and the mold then placed into an oven at 1800 degrees Fahrenheit for ten to twelve
days. Over the course of the firing, the wax melts; the crystal hardens and assumes the
shape and likeness of the pistol.
After cooling, the crystal pistol is acid washed and hand polished.
Because of the nature of production, six to eight weeks is required to generate an
original model.
If a mold has already been made for a particular model, the production time is less.
Crystal Pistols are popular as unique awards for recognition of service for military and
civilian personnel and also as awards for competitive shooting or simply as an original
way to commemorate the passion of gun enthusiasts.
Crystal Pistols donates a percentage of its sales to organizations that support the
service of American soldiers and law enforcement agencies.
